New Delhi, Nov 01 (ANI): Multiple political leaders alleged that their Apple devices have been the victim of hacking attempt. Several MPs including Shashi Tharoor, Mahua Moitra, and others posted screenshots of message they received from Apple. The alleged hacking warning by Apple reads "State-sponsored attackers may be targeting your iPhone". Amid iPhone alert controversy, BJP leader Amit Malviya drew link between billionaire George Soros and Apple row. Amit Malviya retweeted a post and said, “Interesting thread that draws link between George Soros funded ‘Access Now’, Apple notifications”. US Billionaire George Soros is a big critic of BJP-led Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government. Accessnow.org is allegedly funded by United States billionaire and PM Modi’s critic George Soros. Meanwhile, Apple says, these users are individually targeted because of who they are or what they do. According to Apple, “state-sponsored attacks” are highly complex, cost millions of dollars to develop and often have a short shelf life. Apple says if it discovers activity consistent with a state-sponsored attack, it will notify the targeted users.
