Kanpur (UP) December 25 (ANI): The last rites of soldier Karan Kumar killed in the Rajouri encounter, was performed on December 25, at his native place in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. He was paid the last tribute with full military honours by the security forces ahead of the last rituals. People from his neighbourhood turned up in large numbers to pay him their last respect. Kumar was among the four Bravehearts, who were slain during a terrorist operation in Surankote of Poonch district on December 21. Earlier on December 24, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, C-in-C Northern Command, paid military homage to soldiers during a wreath-laying ceremony in Poonch.
