New Delhi, January 10 (ANI): Amid the ongoing diplomatic row between India and Maldives, pressure mounting on President Md Muizzu. Maldives’ Parliamentary Minority leader Ali Azim has called for the removal of President Mohamed Muizzu. Amid India-Maldives diplomatic row, Maldivian opposition leaders leaving no stone unturned to oust incumbent Govt. Another MP Meekail Naseem formally demanded Parliament to summon Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer. The diplomatic tension escalated following Maldivian MPs’ anti-India, anti-Modi remarks on social media. Indian netizens were quick to react and started trending #BoycottMaldives on social media ‘X’. Renowned Indian celebs joined hands in support of Lakshadweep and condemned Maldivian MPs' remarks. On diplomatic levels, Maldivian High Commissioner to India was summoned by MEA on January 08.
