Ladakh, Aug 26 (ANI): In a step towards transforming Ladakh into a prosperous region, MHA decided to create five new districts in Ladakh on August 26. The newly established districts-Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang-aim to bring governance directly to people’s doorsteps. The Centre’s move will ensure that the benefits of progress reach every corner of the remote and diverse landscape. Home Minister Amit Shah took to X to announce the groundbreaking initiative which is part of a broader effort. PM Modi also said that the creation of five new districts in Ladakh is a step towards better governance and prosperity. Speaking to ANI, Ex-MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also welcomed PM Modi’s vision for Ladakh.
