Kerala IED blast | “Those who are poisonous…” Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan reacts to BJP’s sharp jibe

Kalamassery (Kerala), October 30 (ANI): Multiple explosions hit the Jehovah’s Witness prayers meeting in Kochi on October 29. Three persons lost their lives in the tragic incident and around 36 were severely injured. Home Minister Amit Shah took stock of the situation and talked to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan. The blame game began soon after the incident as the BJP held Kerala Government responsible. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar held CM Vijayan responsible for the deadly incident. Kerala CM strongly reacted to Chandrasekhar’s remarks and said, “Those who are spitting poison will keep spitting poison”. “Those who are poisonous will keep spitting poison. One of the Union Ministers made a statement that I was doing appeasement politics and protesting against Israel. He is a minister and he should give some minimum respect to the investigating agencies, the probe is underway. In such a serious incident, at such an early stage, they are making such statements targeting a few set of people,” said Pinarayi Vijayan. Notably, the blasts were triggered by Improvised Explosive Device (IED), as informed by the Kerala DGP. As per the officials, around 2,000 people were attending the prayers when the explosions took place. Home Minister Amit Shah instructed NIA and NSG teams to reach the spot and start inquiry into the incident.
