Srinagar (J&K), November 29 (ANI): Mir Arshid Hussain, an IT engineer turned professional paper-mache artisan, has made an inspiring journey from technology to traditional artistry in the Kashmir Valley. Known for his innovative approach, Hussain blends his technical expertise with the intricate craft of paper-mache —a centuries-old art form deeply rooted in Kashmiri culture.Guided by his father, a legendary paper-mache artisan, Arshid learned and honed his skills, carrying forward his family’s rich artistic legacy. Today, he is celebrated as a highly qualified paper-mache artisan, participating in major events, including international exhibitions. Notably, he represented Kashmir at the 60th Jubilee Celebration of the World Craft Council (WCC) held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC), earning accolades for his work.
