Mirgund (J&K), June 09 (ANI): The mulberry harvest is in full swing at Mirgund seed station of Kashmir with growers pleased by increased production. Traditionally focused on leaves for sericulture, the department shifted to boosting fruit production through government schemes. This led to a rise in local mulberry jam and juice businesses, creating employment and encouraging entrepreneurship. The fruit’s health benefits and high demand are driving interest and economic opportunities in the region.
