Kashmir IGP briefs about security arrangements for PM Modi’s visit, J&K Assembly Elections

Srinagar, Sept 16 (ANI): Ahead of Jammu and Kashmir’s Assembly Elections, Kashmir IGP Vidhi Kumar Birdi on September 16 informed that domination plans have been made for a smooth election process. He also said that multi-tier security has been established as per the Standard Operation Procedure for PM Modi’s visit. “The first phase of the elections is scheduled for September 18. Elaborate and firm steps have been taken for it. Central Paramilitary Force and Jammu Kashmir armed police have been included in the security deployment...We have also made area domination plans for a smooth election process...VVIP movements occur during the elections and J&K police have made all preparations for the multi-tier security as per the Standard Operation Procedure. We will also keep issuing traffic-related advisory... The security and vigilance are in a high state of alertness... We have our strategies to foil any kind of attempts to disrupt peace...,” said VK Birdi.
