Mandya (Karnataka) Jan 29 (ANI): The controversy over the removal of a Lord Hanuman flag from a village flag post in Mandya continued to spiral in Karnataka. BJP and JD(S) workers protested with Hanuman flags in Mandya, over the Hanuman flag removal row. The incident has led to a political slugfest with the opposition BJP-JD(S) locking horns with the Congress government. Police on January 28 resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd. Meanwhile, BJP Leaders continued to attack the Congress government for appeasement politics and promoting the ‘Anti-Hindu’ act. Meanwhile, security has been heightened and Section 144 has been imposed in the village to maintain law and order. In Bengaluru, BJP workers were detained by Karnataka Police as they were protesting against the administration's actions. Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar alleged BJP-JD(S) of doing politics over the incident.
