Baramulla (J&K), April 09, 2025 (ANI): Water Supply project under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is under construction at Diver Yakmanpora in Singhpora Block in Baramulla District, North Kashmir. This project aims to provide safe and reliable drinking water to 30 villages, benefiting around 5,700 households. The key objective of this initiative is to ensure that every household in these villages receives a functional tap water connection under ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme. By establishing infrastructure and delivering water directly to households, it will reduce the burden on women and children who traditionally have to fetch water from distant sources. This development marks a significant step towards achieving universal access to clean water, a critical component of overall rural development.
