Gulmarg (J&K), February 1, (ANI): Gulmarg is experiencing an increased influx of tourists following a recent and substantial snowfall. After a prolonged dry spell, this renowned tourist destination in the valley is now attracting a large number of visitors. Often referred to as the "paradise on earth", Kashmir, particularly Gulmarg, enhances its beauty during winter, drawing tourists globally who seek to create lasting memories. Tourists have praised the pristine beauty as the iconic destination is covered in a fresh blanket of snow. The snow-laden trees and glistening slopes contribute to the overall picturesque scene, captivating visitors. The local residents are optimistic about a surge in tourism, anticipating a substantial increase in visitors soon, which will bring significant benefits. Given that tourism serves as the backbone of Kashmir’s economy, numerous individuals, including taxi operators, hoteliers, skiing operators, guides, tour and travel operators, houseboat owners, and Shikara owners, earn their livelihood from it.
