J&K: Massive crackdown on terrorists continues as encounter in Anantnag’s Kokernag enters day 6

Anantnag (J&K), Sept 18 (ANI): Encounter between security forces and terrorists entered day 6 in J&K’s Anantnag on Sept 18. Indian Army along with J&K Police locked in a relentless fight with terrorists for over 100 hours. Meanwhile, terrorists, hiding in dense Garol forest areas are taking advantage of difficult terrain. Army launched ‘Operation Garol’ to flush out terrorists from the Garol forest area of Kokrenag. Hi-tech equipment is being used by the forces for surveillance along with the high impact of precision fire. The security forces are using drones, quadcopters to locate terrorists’ hideouts in the dense forest. Meanwhile, India lost four Bravehearts in a gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Army officers Col. Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, J&K DSP Bhat laid down their lives in the line of duty.
