J&K: LG Manoj Sinha takes part in ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ program in Srinagar

Srinagar (J&K), August 14 (ANI): Ahead of the 77th Independence Day celebrations, Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on August 13 attended the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ program in Srinagar. The program was organised to remember soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation and spread awareness among people regarding them. The Lieutenant Governor paid tributes to the freedom fighters and administered the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge to the students. The mega program was organized by Deputy Commissioner Office Srinagar in collaboration with different departments of administration. On the occasion, Manoj Sinha said that he bows his head in reverence to sacrifices of freedom fighters and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and called upon youth to take inspiration from the valour and courage of brave hearts and strive to become worthy heirs of the great leaders. As a part of the ongoing ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, Shila-Falkam will be installed in every village of J&K as a tribute to the brave sons of Maa Bharati.
