Srinagar (J&K) October 26 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha on Oct 25, attended an interaction program with pension beneficiaries during Pensioner Sammelan in Srinagar. The purpose of the interaction program between pensioners and the Lieutenant Governor of J&K was to listen to the grievances of beneficiaries and solve the problems they face in their daily lives. The program was organised by the district administration of Srinagar and the Department of Social Welfare at Sheri Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake Srinagar. During this program beneficiary thanked the administration for giving one thousand rupees as a monthly pension. But they requested the LG to intervene for enhancement of their monthly pension from one thousand to five thousand rupees. “Attempts are being made so that people spend their daily lives properly. I believe people working for this are fortunate enough. It is actually problematic if somebody does not receive his/her pension on time. We should continuously look into the matter. Whenever you face any difficulty please reach out to the officials here. Your problems or demands will be looked after,” said LG Sinha.
