J&K: Kathua witnesses surge in strawberry cultivation with astounding success

Kathua (J&K), March 22 (ANI): Hiranagar border area in J&K’s Kathua is blooming with Strawberry cultivation. After strong implementation of ceasefire agreements, border youth opting for strawberry cultivation and becoming self-dependent. They are earning a handsome money by doing strawberry cultivation. Vikrant, a farmer from Hiranagar town, set an example in Horticulture sector. He starts cultivation of strawberry with 20,000 plants. Now, he earns 5 to 10 lakhs after selling strawberry in Jammu and nearby markets. As of now, Vikrant is growing three varieties of strawberry and further planning to cultivate Dragon fruits and polyhouse farming to get benefits round the year.
