Bandipora (J&K), April 03 (ANI): Over 600 Muslims gathered for a 10-day Itikaf (spiritual retreat) at Darul Uloom Raheemiya, the largest Islamic seminary in J&K’s Bandipora. The gathering of individuals from diverse backgrounds at Darul Uloom Raheemiya highlights the importance of this practice in Islam. Over the years, Darul Uloom Raheemiya has been a popular destination for both people living in India and abroad. Itikaf is observed during the last 10 days of Ramadan, when worshippers seclude themselves and devote their time to prayer, supplication, and reading the Quran. It commences from sunset of the 20th day of Ramadan and culminates with the sighting of the Eid moon.
