J&K: Henna competition organised to create voter awareness in Udhampur’s HSS Salmerhi

Udhampur (J&K), Aug 28 (ANI): Henna Competition and cultural programme was organised in Higher Secondary School Salmerhi (HSS Salmerhi) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur on August 27. It was held under the part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) on the directions of District Election Officer Saloni Rai. The purpose of programme was to create voter awareness to the people. A large number of female students participated in the programme. It also featured a cultural segment in which children highlighted the importance of voter awareness through cultural dance and skit performances. Voting for the first phase will be held on September 15, the second phase on September 28, and the final phase on October 01.
