J&K: Growers busy with harvesting of delicious apple crops in Ganderbal

Ganderbal (J&K), Oct 25 (ANI): Harvesting of the delicious and mouth-watering apple fruit crops is going on in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal. Growers are seen busy with the harvesting process and expecting a good turnover as the quality of crops is satisfactory in Kashmir. Usually, growers start the harvesting process in the month of September. But a few varieties of apples including American, Maharaji, and Chamboora are still in orchards and growers, labourers are very much busy with harvesting and packing of the crop. In Kashmir valley, growers are producing dozens of fruits around the year but apple crop is considered the major fruit crop and this fruit crop is generating employment for lakhs of people. So, this year, climatic conditions were favorable for orchardists and fruit crops were showing good results due to utilisation of spraying at a proper time. Notably, Jammu and Kashmir is known for producing the best quality apples with large production. Some districts of the valley including Shopian, Pulwama, and Baramulla are very famous for delicious apple production.
