Ganderbal (J&K), Feb 14 (ANI): In a groundbreaking collaboration between the Army, Voice of SAP, Spreading Smiles NGO of Ahmedabad, and HOPE NGO of Ganderbal, a transformative camp was organised at Gund in Ganderbal district, dedicated to specially-abled individuals on Feb 14. The event aimed not only at empowerment through skill-building and support but also at providing essential tools for increased mobility and self-sustainability. Specially-abled people from various villages in the Ganderbal district participated in the camp, making it a beacon of hope for the underprivileged in the Kangan sub-division. The camp’s key objectives included the distribution of mobility solutions such as wheelchairs and tricycles to specially-abled. Hearing aids were supplied to those with hearing impairments and canes and Braille materials were provided to individuals with visual impairments. Sewing machines were also provided to equip specially-abled individuals with skills for economic independence.
