Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil interacted with Jal Praharis and Water Warriors at a Namami Gange dialogue programme in New Delhi, recognising their grassroots contribution to river conservation. Volunteers selected for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path were felicitated for their efforts. The event also highlighted key initiatives like the ‘Jalaj’ programme to link livelihoods with river conservation and the ‘Youth for Ganga, Youth for Yamuna’ campaign, aimed at engaging young citizens in protecting India’s rivers through community-led action.
