Kolkata, March 06 (ANI): PM Modi flagged off metro services from various towns including the Esplanade Metro on March 06 from Kolkata. He received a warm welcome from the crowd as hundreds of people gathered to have a glimpse of him. The crowd chanted ‘Modi-Modi’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on PM’s arrival and he was seen waving at them. Prime Minister Modi also interacted with school students as they travelled in India's first underwater metro. PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple connectivity projects worth Rs 15,400 cr in Kolkata. The Kolkata Metro extension includes the first transportation tunnel in India to pass under a major river.
