Srinagar, May 08 (ANI): The third Kashmir International Chess Tournament was held at the Indoor Stadium Polo Ground from May 4th to 9th, has drawn players from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and various parts of the world. With 71 participants from Jammu and Kashmir, 29 from across India, and 11 international players, the tournament offers a prize of 2.31 lakh rupees. This prestigious event has brought together some of the finest chess minds globally, showcasing strategic brilliance and tactical prowess. Organized meticulously, the tournament serves not only as a platform for intense competition but also as a cultural exchange, emphasizing the universal appeal of chess. As players engage in fierce battles on the chessboard, spectators witness thrilling matches and gripping finishes, highlighting the enduring allure of the game.
