“It was a challenge...”: Pankaj Tripathi on his role in ‘Main Atal Hoon’

Mumbai, January 15 (ANI): Actor Pankaj Tripathi, Director Ravi Jadhav, and Producer Vinod Bhanushali were spotted promoting film ‘Main Atal Hoon’ in Mumbai. Film ‘Main Atal Hoon’ will hit the theatres on January 19, 2024. In an exclusive interview with ANI, the actor spoke about the film and his experience portraying Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on screen. He also said he used to wonder if he could do justice to the role or not. While talking to the media, actor Pankaj Tripathi said, “The personality of Atal Bihari Vajpayee is such that it cannot be compared to present-day politicians. He was a poet. Understanding his character enriched me; my perspective on thinking evolved. He was a leader whose staunchest enemies were also his admirers. Adhering to his parliamentary decorum was remarkable, and it was difficult in Indian politics to find adversaries like Atal Ji; it was a challenge. I used to wonder if I could do justice to this role.” Meanwhile, Director Ravi Jadhav said, “The entire process took 5-6 months. Every scene required extensive preparation, involving a lot of brainstorming to capture its authenticity. I entered the project at a crucial time after two major accomplishments, making me aware of the added responsibility of making a film on Atal Ji and working with Pankaj Ji. Associating with such renowned names added another layer to precisely crafting each frame.” The film 'Main Atal Hoon' is directed by Ravi Jadhav and will be released on January 19, 2024.
