Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh) September 10 (ANI): In a much needed breakthrough after easy nabbing of 4 wolves, forest dept captured the 5th man-eater beast on Sept 10. The wolf captured today is one of the remaining canines that have been ‘evading’ forest officials for over 10 days. The wolves gave a bloody nose to the forest officials as they failed terribly even at tracking them since Aug 30. As per the trend of the attacks on the locals, the wolves have been mostly active during the night and dusk. Another strategy adopted by the wolves is to choose different village for attacks each time, as informed by Bahraich DM. The targets chosen by the man-eater wolves have been mostly children or the elderly people as they are easy prey to pounce upon. Forest Dept after studying nature of attacks, setup snap cameras in addition to infrared drones at probable habitats of wolves. Forest officials also installed cages and spread nets at vulnerable areas of appearance of the canines. The man-eater wolves have killed 9 people so far in the district. Notably, one of wolves is still on the loose and forest officials are making hard efforts to nab it.
