Indian Army comes up with new action plan to thwart terrorists in J&K’s Poonch, Rajouri sector

Rajouri (J&K), December 26 (ANI): The terror attacks in the last few days in J&K’s Poonch and Rajouri have shocked the Valley. Security forces are on their toes to nab the mastermind behind terror attack as Operations entered day-7. As many as four soldiers lost their lives in the recent encounter in Rajouri sector. Now, the security forces have come up with an action plan to thwart Pakistani terrorists in the Valley. According to ANI, Indian Army planning to increase the number of troops in the Poonch-Rajouri sector. It is expected to strengthen the counter-terrorist grid in the area and increase the confidence of locals. Indian Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande also visited the Poonch-Rajouri sector on December 25. Notably, the Army is also conducting a Staff Court of Inquiry against the 13-Sector Rashtriya Rifles Commander. The Staff Inquiry is being conducted for the recurring lapses in operations in which the Army has lost many troops. Sources said the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies want to revive terrorism in the Poonch, Rajouri sectors.
