Ukhrul, Manipur, ANI, 24 June 2025: With each new road laid, Manipur is steadily paving its path to progress. Improved connectivity is not just transforming the landscape, but also driving the state toward stronger regional ties and a brighter socio-economic future. Manipur has made significant strides in road infrastructure, thanks to central government initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and the National Highways Development Project (NHDP), both highway and rural road connectivity — including in remote areas like Litan in Ukhrul — have significantly improved, making travel easier and more convenient for residents. Improved roads in Manipur are not only enhancing connectivity but also boosting tourism, trade, and commerce. Traders now spend less time and money transporting goods across the state. Better road access has also made it easier for children in remote villages to reach schools and for residents to access healthcare and other essential services. Improved connectivity marks a vital step toward social upliftment. While the process will take time, its positive impact is already evident in the lives of Manipur’s residents. With continued collaboration between the government and local administration, Manipur is well on its way to achieving comprehensive development in the years ahead.
