“I’ll definitely come back to India…” Pakistani girl after successful heart transplant in Chennai

Chennai (TN), April 26 (ANI): Ayesha Rashid, a 19-year-old from Pakistan’s Karachi successfully underwent a heart transplant surgery in Chennai. Aspiring fashion designer, Ayesha Rashid had a serious heart complications and surgeons from MGM health care performed her heart transplant for free. Ayesha Rashid thanked the Indian government for transplant. “I’ll definitely come back to India one day again. I thank the doctors also for the treatment”, she said while speaking to ANI. Ayesha first came to Chennai for a check-up in 2019. After going back to Pakistan she felt heart pain and had complications so she came back to Chennai again in June 2023. She was in a financial distress and was very upset. What came for her as a blessing was the MGM health care in Chennai, who performed the heart surgery for free. They connected with a Chennai based health care trust Aishwaryam for her treatment. With the joint efforts of both, heart of a 69-year-old Indian was finally air lifted from Delhi to Chennai and the heart transplant surgery was successfully done on January 31.
