IED blasts rock Kerala’s Kochi | Delhi, Lucknow other cities on ‘high alert’

New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): After multiple explosions at convention centre claimed at least one life and left over three dozen people injured, several cities are on high alert. After the incident, Delhi Police has stepped up security measures in the national capital. Delhi Police personnel are in constant touch with secret agencies and they are monitoring crowed places in the city. In Uttar Pradesh, Special DG Law and Order Prashant Kumar has ordered officials in all district to stay on alert. The Uttar Pradesh Police is monitoring protests related to Israel-Hamas war. In Karnataka, top police officials have been ordered by Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara to monitor border areas after Kerala explosions. Kerala DGP has confirmed that two blasts ripped through a prayer hall during a meeting in Kochi's Kalamassery. DGP Shaik Darvesh also said that preliminary probe suggests that IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) were used to trigger blasts.
