Hyderabad, March 23 (ANI): Ahead of the Holi celebration, nature lover and artist Manya made eco-friendly Holi colours and shared the process with ANI on March 22 in Hyderabad, Telangana. She made colours like Haldi, Pista, Kesar, Gulaab and Neela from all-natural ingredients. She showed the process behind making those colours hands-on and invited everyone to look around instead of buying synthetic colours which have adverse effects on our skin. Speaking to ANI in a special interaction, Manya shared her journey of making these all-natural colours. She said, "I started my journey with natural dyes and natural colours around 5 years ago. Initially, I started dyeing my own clothes, with things like haldi, pomegranate peel, onion skins and others. I also love using marigold flowers. All these can also be used for holi colours.” Further informing about the natural colours and how Holi was played in earlier times, she added, “Adding cornflour makes it smooth and makes it a colour which stays for long. The 'Palash' or the 'flame of the forest' flower is what was used originally to play Holi”Lastly, she urged everyone to look around and use all-natural ingredients to celebrate the spring.
