Mumbai, October 06 (ANI): The Reserve Bank of India has recovered Rs 3.43 lakh crore worth of Rs 2,000 notes to date, informed RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das on October 06. Back in May, RBI decided to withdraw the Rs 2,000 denomination banknotes from circulation adding that it will continue to remain as legal tender. It was advised banks to stop issuing Rs 2,000 denomination banknotes with immediate effect.
