Bihar, a state which known for its cultural importance, have attracted many tourists for its pilgrimage sites. One such example is Mahabodhi Temple Complex in Bodh Gaya, which is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. It is believed to be the place where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment, making it highly significant for Buddhists worldwide. However, the lack of infrastructure development, improvements in the region have let down the number of footfall over the years. Also, Buddhist monks have stressed the need for a world-class hospital in Bodh Gaya. The investment in development of Mahabodhi corridor is essential for preserving its heritage and harnessing the cultural potential of iconic pilgrimage site.
