Hathras, July 3 (ANI): Around 116 people lost their lives and 18 people were injured in UP’s Hathras due to a stampede at a religious gathering on July 02. The horrific stampede took place after the conclusion of the ‘Satsang’. Expressing his grief on Hathras stampede incident, PM Modi paid condolences to victims while replying to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. UP CM Yogi Adityanath expressed sorrow over the tragedy and stated that the state govt will get to the bottom of this entire incident. Taking to X, BJP top leaders Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh offered condolences over the loss of lives in the stampede in Hathras. Reportedly, the stampede was caused by suffocation and panic among the large crowd gathered in a closed enclosure.
