Ahmedabad (Gujarat): With strong backing from the Government of Gujarat under the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) 2.0, Government Polytechnic Ahmedabad is emerging as a key innovation hub. A ₹22 lakh grant has helped students turn ideas into Proof of Concept projects, with 73% invested in prototype development and additional support for patent filing and innovation activities. Under expert mentorship, students have developed advanced solutions in drones, AI, robotics, sustainability, and industrial safety — including a Hybrid VTOL Drone, indigenous UAV systems, AI-based EEG applications for ADHD students, fire-fighting robots, tunnel safety communication systems, Smart Pots, and Sparrow Nests.
