Gujarat is entering a new era of sports excellence under CM Bhupendra Patel’s leadership, backed by a ₹1,100 crore plan for world-class infrastructure ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games and 2036 Olympics. Ahmedabad is seeing 11 sports complexes and 8 modern gyms near completion, alongside 24 district complexes across 22 districts. Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 (2024) recorded 71 lakh registrations, reflecting growing participation. The Naranpura Sports Complex will be the state’s largest hub, with additional tennis courts and upgraded grounds boosting opportunities. Gujarat has successfully hosted events like National Games 2022 and the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship, recently inaugurating the ₹825 crore Veer Savarkar Sports Complex. These initiatives reinforce Gujarat’s commitment to youth empowerment and global sports excellence.
