In Gujarat, the Shramik Annapurna Yojana and Worker Shelter Homes, launched by CM Bhupendra Patel, uplift construction workers’ lives. Inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s vision, the ₹5 meal scheme provides 32,000 daily meals via 290 centres across 19 districts, with free health check-ups and QR-enabled accessibility. Migrant workers benefit from well-equipped shelter homes offering free amenities, shared kitchens, and education for their children. Special care is ensured for the elderly and disabled. These initiatives reflect Gujarat’s commitment to the dignity and welfare of its labour force.
