Gujarat’s Mehsana Hospital celebrates Republic Day with free surgeries

Mehsana (Gujarat) [India], January 26 (ANI): Marking the 77th Republic Day, Mehsana General Hospital in Gujarat successfully completed 268 free minor surgical procedures on January 26, 2026, turning the national celebration into a day of public service. The initiative was carried out under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Gopi Patel and included procedures such as earlobe repair, correction of elongated ear piercings, removal of sebaceous cysts, lipomas, warts and corns, along with cataract surgeries. A dedicated team of more than 10 surgeons, supported by nearly 100 medical, paramedical, and Class-IV staff, worked across five fully equipped operation theatres to complete all surgeries smoothly within a single day.
