Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak, Managing Director & Commissioner of Tourism, Gujarat, emphasized the state's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and the government's focus on tourism as key drivers of economic growth. Recognizing tourism as a vital employment generator, particularly in areas with limited livelihood options, the government has adopted a comprehensive approach involving all relevant departments. The recent surge in tourist arrivals is promising, positioning Gujarat as a growing destination both nationally and internationally. Chhakchhuak highlighted the 2024 Rann Utsav, which is attracting a large number of visitors and creating numerous job opportunities for locals in roles such as guides, accommodation providers, and transportation services. What was once government-funded is now a revenue-generating event benefiting the community.
