Gujarat’s Breaking the Silence program, under the School Health - Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SH-RBSK), won the SKOCH Gold Award for providing free cochlear implants and speech therapy to children with hearing loss. Since 2014, over 3,260 children have benefited, enhancing their ability to hear and communicate. Mobile health teams ensure early detection and free treatment, empowering children to integrate confidently into society. This initiative showcases Gujarat’s commitment to inclusive healthcare, transforming lives and giving children the gift of speech.
