Ahmedabad [Gujarat], April 18 (ANI): Gujarat is leading India’s fight against tuberculosis through robust policies, advanced diagnostics, mobile health vans, and strengthened DOTS centres under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). The state’s effective implementation of the Nikshay Poshan Yojana, which now offers ₹1,000 monthly nutritional support, played a key role in helping patients like Bijal Lalitbhai Prajapati recover. Under the PM’s TB-Free India Campaign, Gujarat has enlisted 10,682 Nikshay Mitras who’ve distributed over 3.49 lakh nutrition kits. With comprehensive community outreach and support, Gujarat is not just progressing toward TB elimination—it’s setting a national benchmark.
