Gujarat Unveils Grand Plans to Transform Statue of Unity into Global Tourism Icon

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) August 07 (ANI): The Gujarat Government, led by CM Bhupendra Patel, has launched new initiatives to enhance the Statue of Unity experience and position Gujarat as a global tourism hub. In the 6th Governing Body meeting of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust, plans were unveiled to develop scenic trekking trails, peaceful walkways, and a hospitality district around the statue. A replica of the Sardar Sarovar Dam will also be installed near the entrance to boost visitor engagement. These efforts aim to promote eco-tourism, sustainable development, and local employment while celebrating Sardar Patel’s legacy. Gujarat is setting new benchmarks in infrastructure, culture, and tourism.
