Gujarat: New terminal building of Surat Airport becomes operational

Surat (Gujarat) December 25 (ANI): The new terminal building of Surat Airport became operational on December 25. Passengers in large numbers checked in through new terminal building before embarking on their journey. The new terminal building is equipped to handle 1,200 domestic passengers and 600 international passengers during peak hours. It has provision for further increasing peak hour capacity to 3,000 passengers with annual handling capacity increasing to 55 lakh passengers. Notably, PM Modi on Dec 17 inaugurated the new building of the Airport which is built at a cost of Rs 353 crore.
