Panchmahal (Gujarat), Dec 23 (ANI): Gujarat, renowned for its rich culture and rapid urban growth, is now excelling in rural development. Under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's leadership, the state achieved remarkable success in the 2024 National Panchayat Awards. Vavkuli-2 Gram Panchayat, Panchmahal district, earned first place in the "Panchayat with Good Governance" category under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sustainable Development Award (DDUPSVP), setting a new benchmark in excellence. Guided by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for women-led and inclusive development, Vavkuli-2 Gram Panchayat has become a model of self-reliance. In 2022-23, it promoted e-governance, enhanced administrative transparency, and improved citizen services. The panchayat also made notable strides in cleanliness, water management, and fostering equal opportunities. Vavkuli-2 Gram Panchayat has made significant strides in education, transforming village schools with better facilities and quality learning. It ensured inclusive education for all children, regardless of their background, by introducing smart classrooms that enhance learning through modern technology. This initiative has boosted student engagement and effectiveness. The panchayat, in collaboration with the education department, plans to expand these reforms further.
