Gujarat Leads the Way: Safe and Modern Hostels for Single Working Women

Surat (Gujarat), May 28 ANI: The Gujarat government has launched dedicated hostels for single working women in major cities, focusing on safety and comfort. A flagship facility in Surat houses 86 women and features 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, a community kitchen, canteen, library, and garden—promoting a secure and balanced lifestyle. Backed by ₹67 crores in funding, two additional hostels are planned for Surat. These hostels go beyond housing by offering a supportive and empowering environment that enables women to pursue their careers with dignity. This initiative reflects a progressive step toward ensuring the well-being and independence of working women in urban India.
