Gujarat government grants additional ₹2 crore special package to female legislators

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), April 01, 2025: On International Women’s Day, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel allocated an extra ₹2 crore to each of the 14 women MLAs, empowering them to drive development in their constituencies. Asarwa MLA Darshnaben Vaghela highlighted smoother project execution, with public satisfaction evident. In Rajkot, MLA and doctor Harshita Shah noted her expanded impact post-election. This initiative showcases Gujarat’s commitment to inclusive governance, recognizing the pivotal role of women in sustainable regional progress. The move strengthens grassroots development and women’s leadership in politics.
