Bavla (Gujarat), August 1 (ANI): Following heavy rainfall in Gujarat's Bavla town, the district administration swiftly initiated relief operations. Over 50% of the water has been drained through 24/7 efforts led by senior officials. Around 1,500 affected residents have been given shelter, food, and medical aid at relief camps set up at Atal Hall and Sardar Hall. More than 80 sanitation workers are engaged in cleaning, waste management, and insecticide spraying in waterlogged areas. Interdepartmental coordination has sped up the cleaning of canals and roads. Seven JCB machines and 17 pumps are actively supporting the operations. The Gujarat government has demonstrated effective disaster management combined with human sensitivity, reaffirming its commitment to public welfare and restoring normalcy during times of crisis.
