Gujarat gears up to implement Uniform Civil Code, 5-Member Panel to Submit Report in 45 Days

Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Feb 4 (ANI): While addressing a Press Conference Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel spoke on the issue of Uniform Civil Code. He said that a committee has been constituted to implement Uniform Civil Code. He further said, “To prepare the draft for Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and make the law, a 5-member committee under the chairmanship of retired Supreme Court judge Ranjana Desai has been constituted. The committee will submit its report to the state government in 45 days, based on which the government will take a decision.”
