“Great thing for humanity…” Vikram Sarabhai’s son Kartikeya Sarabhai exalts Chandrayaan-3

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), August 23 (ANI): Esteemed Indian environmentalist and the director of Centre for Environment Education Kartikeya Sarabhai said that the lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 is a “great thing for humanity”. “It is a big day. It is a fantastic thing for anyone on the planet not just India to be able to send this precision with which we have been able to send Chandrayaan-3 and also through a process that is different from others. In science and engineering, we learn from mistakes. It will be a great thing for humanity because no one has been able to land on the south side of the moon,” said Kartikeya Sarabhai while speaking to ANI on August 23. Notably, Kartikeya Sarabhai is the son of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, who is widely regarded as the father of India's space programme.
