Govt opens Paddy Procurement Centres in Kathua for farmers to sell Paddy at MSP

Kathua (J&K), Nov 08 (ANI): The Farmers of Kathua district are very glad after the government opened a Paddy procurement center at their doorstep to sell Paddy at a Maximum Support Price fixed. A total of 11 Paddy Procurement Centres have been established in collaboration with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) at various locations in the Kathua district. Food Corporation of India (FCI) and state agencies have undertaken procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) to create a buffer stock as well as protect the interest of farmers. The farmers will be given a support price at the rate of Rs 2183 for the common paddy variety and Rs 2203 for the Grade “A” Variety.
