Shraddha Sorathiya from Sajadiyali village in Rajkot district exemplifies how timely government support can transform rural livelihoods. Associated with a Self-Help Group, she has become her area’s first woman drone professional through the Central Government’s Lakhpati Didi scheme and Gujarat’s Drone Didi initiative. In just 1.5 years, Shraddha has provided drone-based agricultural services worth ₹12–13 lakh, spraying pesticides and nutrients over 3,000+ acres, and now earns over ₹10 lakhs annually. Her success reflects Gujarat’s effective implementation of women-centric schemes, where 5.96 lakh women crossed ₹1 lakh annual income by December 2025. With 248 master trainers and 10,000+ trainees, rural women are steadily achieving economic self-reliance.
