Ganga Utsav 2024: Celebrating spirituality and conservation on the riverbank for the first time

Haridwar (Uttarakhand), November 4 (ANI): The eighth edition of the Ganga Utsav, organised by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), celebrated on November 4, 2024, at Chandi Ghat in Haridwar. This year’s event marks a milestone, as it will be the first time that Ganga Utsav takes place on the riverbank itself. The primary focus of Ganga Utsav 2024 is to foster a connection with the Ganga, promote conservation, and emphasize the river's cultural and spiritual significance. Eminent Bollywood personalities graced the event with their presence, and sharing their insights on spiritual wellbeing and cleanliness. The celebration will span across 139 districts within the Ganga basin, coordinated by District Ganga Committees. This will be the eighth edition of the event and for the first time it is being celebrated on the banks of the river
